UNIBEN Renovates Her Auditorium Burnt Down By Fire

The University of Benin suffered a fire incident on the 4th of August when part of Akin Deko Auditorium was razed by fire.

Staff and students in the building escaped unharmed as the fire raged. As the fire service arrived to put out the fire, visibly shaken staff are seen sitting on the grass outside the building in a video shared online.

“Uniben work no go kill me o,” a male voice is heard saying. Two female staffs could also be seen thanking God for saving
their lives as seen in the video revealed by Siggy.ng

In a recent development, the management has released a Memorandum informing all staffs and students of the institution that the auditorium will be ongoing renovation. To this effect the auditorium will be unavailable for use/hire.
