UNIBEN Female Student Dies Of Blood Cancer After N6million Surgery

Great woes hit the great citadel of the University of benin when the news of one of her student, Abigael Ubiedi was reported dead of a chronic illness which she has been battling for months.

Abigael Ubiedi was a 400 Level student from the department of Accounting, University of Benin. She was diagnosed of Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia , a type of blood cancer that occurs when the bone marrow no longer produces healthy cells.

She was to undergo a treatment surgery cost $12,000 (6 Million Naira). Donations were made by Family, friends and well wishers and in a few weeks the money for the surgery was completed.

According to Siggy.ng, she had taken to her facebook page on the 25th of July, to thank God for a successful surgery operation. She had also given thanks to everyone who donated to this cause. She prayed for all that God bless and keep them in divine health.

News reaching Siggy.ng correspondent in Uniben on Saturday has it that she passed away during the week.
