Texas school shooting at Robb Elementary School has left many injured and 19 pupils, teachers dead after a 18-year-old gunman named Salvador Ramos opened fire on them, Siggy reports.
The gunman, Salvador Ramos, wearing body armor, equipped with a handgun and possibly a rifle shot his grandmother on Tuesday, May 24, before entering the school and opening fire.
There have been multiple fatalities at the shooting at Robb Elementary School, two law enforcement sources told CNN, citing preliminary information.
Multiple people were also injured in the shooting. According to reports, at least 19 people have been killed. It is possible there is more.
U.S. Authorities said the 18-year-old gunman in Texas school shooting went from classroom to classroom shooting innocent people before he was killed.
The death toll also included 19 children and two adults, one of whom was a teacher.
The gunman entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde with a handgun and possibly a rifle, however officials did not immediately reveal a motive.
A Border Patrol agent who was nearby when the shooting began rushed into the school without waiting for backup and shot and killed the gunman, who was behind a barricade, according to a law enforcement official.
The agent was wounded but able to walk out of the school, the law enforcement source said.
Speaking on the incident, President Biden said;
“As a nation, we have to ask when in God’s name we’re going to stand up to the gun lobby, when in God’s name we do what we all know in our gut needs to be done.”
“I am sick and tired of it. We have to act. And don’t tell me we can’t have an impact on this carnage. I spent my career as a senator and vice president working to pass common sense gun laws.”
