Meet UNIUYO’s Best Graduating Medicine And Surgery Student With 14 Distinctions

Imo state-born Dr (Miss) Uzoaku Odinakachukwu Amadi has emerged as the best graduating medical student at the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) 18th Oath-taking ceremony (Sponsio Academica) sweeping away 14 awards to her name.

Dr Uzoaku, with registration number 13/CS/MB/701 won 14 Awards and got a commendation letter from the Provost, College of Health Sciences of the university.

She further recorded the highest scores in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Biochemistry.

Specifically, she bagged award as the:

– Best in Anatomy
– Best in Physiology
– Best in Clinical Biochemistry
– Best in Laboratory Medicine
– Best in Paediatrics
– Best in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
– Best in Surgery
– Best in Internal Medicine
– Best in Community Medicine
– Best in Family Medicine

Her Profile :

Uzoaku who is the fifth child of her parents was born preterm (born prematurely) and had to suffer bouts of ailments at infancy, but she shrugged them to become a genius whose quest for knowledge took her to the arts, music and linguistics, among others.

Born in 1997 from Imo State, she attended Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Owerri, and emerged the best graduating student from nursery to secondary schools’ level.

The Ikeduru-born girl, who combines beauty with academic excellence, loves reading, writing, drawing and painting.
