Imo State University Student Struck by lightning (Photo)

A 20-year-old female student of the Imo State University Owerri (IMSU), in 100-level, identified as Chiamaka Obodo has lost her life after being struck by thunder lightning following a heavy downpour of rain, Siggy has learnt.

It was gathered that the deceased student was making a call with her phone inside her parents’ house at the Obilubi Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State when lightning struck.

She died on the spot before help could get to her. Her body has since been deposited at the morgue while Friday, June 17 has been fixed for her burial.
