Abducted Bayero University Student Escapes From Kidnappers’ Den

Sakina Bello, the 300-Level female student of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) who was abducted in Rijiyar Zaki area of the Kano metropolis has reportedly esxaped from her Kidnappers’ den, Siggy reports.

It will be recalled that the Botany student was reportedly kidnapped around 3pm on Tuesday, on her way back home in a commercial tricycle. The abductors later called on Wednesday morning, and demanded N100million ransom.

According to reports, no ransom was paid as she escaped from the abductors and then called her brother to inform him of her escape.

Confirming the report, spokesman for the Kano Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, said that the student claimed that she escaped from the abductors and found herself around Sabon Gari area of the metropolis.

He said the police had taken her to the hospital, adding that “no stone will be left unturned” to unravel the circumstances behind her disappearance.
